Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)

Potentially traumatic events before age 18 including abuse, neglect, household dysfunction, and witnessing violence. Around half of adults in England have experienced at least one ACE. Those with four or more ACEs are significantly more likely to experience depression, addiction, violence, and early death.
